doesn't the stock turbo boost around 13.5 psi? do you have a boost controller? perform a boost leak test as well.

The stock one you got, is it used? Have you checked the wastegate also?

the stock one i got is used. the guy i got it from said he ported the inlet and the wastegate

also i check the connection on my bov and it was leaking. i fixed that and now it spools to 16 psi drops to 12 or so and then goes to 14 and stays there

how do i do a boost leak test?

its pretty simple if u have the right tools, if you google boost leak wrx will see one forum where they have a good example of doing a boost leak.its basically pressurizing the system from the turbo inlet hose with roughly about 30 psi then listen carefully for any leaks if there is you will definitely hear it.
