New MBC, remove factory boost controller?

I just got the turbo XS dual stage boost controller and the instructions said that if your car already has a factory boost controller you will need to remove it. Does a 2002 WRX have a factory boost controller that I need to remove, this confuses me? If there is one where is it and how do i remove it?

No there isnt one. Just put it in between the wastegate line and it should be fine.

Your car has a factory boost controller. But, you don't need to remove it. Just install the new MBC and you'll be fine.

I meant there isnt one in the sense that you can change the boost, hence there is no factory boost control, its just a selnoid.

I would suggest that if you are going to use an MBC, get a pressure solenoid (dawes or grainger) so that you can switch between stock boost to whatever you preset the MBC to with a flip of a switch. That way you won't get PTFB that can cause high EGT's.
