Well what is done to the car now?
What is your budget for this car?
What will you be doing with this car, Drag Racing, Road Racing, or just fun daily driver?
What are you goals with this car?

2003 WRX Hybrid build,

^^Before you start modding. COBB maps are VERY limited and you have to stick to the map notes.

The AP is nice to have for many reasons, not just tuning.

The rear sway replacement and tires is prob the best 2 things you can do for your handling.

Just start with a good exhaust upipe, downpipe and cat back then maybe a bigger top mount intercooler and a nice tune to start with..maybe later get a 16g and a set of injectors and a bigger fuel pump and yhen tune it . that will get you your 300-350hp

Most sites that sell tires have tons of reviews, you should find something that has good reviews in your price range with the characteristics you are looking for. The AP comes with a bunch of maps from Cobb, you can go to the Cobb site and check the available maps to find out what the basic map set contains. If you deviate from the map notes you can always bring the car to a protuner that tunes using the AP.

Do your homework if you want an explanation but I'll give you some arbitrary recommendations:
Buy a second set of wheels for summer from wheeldude.com 17x7.5" or 17x8" e48 with 225/45R17 summer tires. Specifically Star Specs. Buy some 205/55R16 winter tires for your stock wheels when you
Buy a Cobb AP. Flash your car as it is now to "Stage 1". When you get some funds, buy the parts listed for "Stage 2" (basically you'll need a downpipe and a cat back exhaust). Put the parts on and reflash. After that, you might want to improve other areas of the car before spending some more serious money to replace the turbo.

If you don't really feel like blowing alot and dont feel like doing heavy motor work i would do what i did to my 04 wrx. For handling i got a set for H&R springs for about 250. From there i got a perrin intake( got it from a tech a sub for 30 bucks) Perrin uppipe for 200, APS catless downpipe (used 200) HKS Catback for 500 new. i also i got perrin BOV mainly for the sound ha. then you go and get AP or what i did and got an open sourse dyno tune for 350. i did all the work myself and saved a few bucks, but that would put you at about 256WHP and 255WTQ. thats around 300HP and you shouldnt have trans or motor problems. she runs great and is a blast to drive
