need help choosing a 16g

ok, here's the thing guys....I've been searching the market for a new turbo for my 04 sedan. right now it's total stage 2 with an AP stage 2 93 octane map... it's my everyday driver, so I'm thinking a 16g.... and of course every company i talk to says their's are the best.... I've spoken with turbocharers.com and they have by far the best price (625 shipped)(including a big 16g wheel) forced performance has a pretty nice deal.... but a dude in a local shop near me on LI said that deadbolt turbos are the best and most reliable.... someone please help me!!!!

+1 for Forced Performance. Customer service and products are second to none.

When I do mine, I'm going with a green.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

I'm happy with the customer support and performance of my Deadbolt small 16G... They have free re-builds for life as well on their turbos. You will like the power of the 16G

Just looked on turbochargers.com website.. just know that you will not get 380HP from the turbo if they mean WHP.. expect to get about that in flywheel HP.

I have a Super 16G from deadbolt and it is crazy, tons of power. I just got my TurboXS FMIC today and I expect get have over 300whp on pump gas after I get it installed and a new tune.

I've heard nothing but positive results about the Deadbolt super 16g turbo. It's a little more money but it's a monster and you get lifetime rebuilds for free. That's the one i'm leaning towards.

To be honest...if you are looking for 16G/super16G performace I really would look into the EJ5-40T....it is what I am using right now and it spools like Mother F.....and it is half the price of some of the Deadbolts

What kind of power are you putting down now? What supporting mods do you have? And lastly, where's a good place to purchase one?

My 91 Octane tune is 305whp with 321ftlbs

Supporting mods:

565cc injectors/244lph pump
Huge FMIC
catless up-pipe/3.5" exhaust
UTEC Version 5 software

www.boostbuddy.com is a really good place to get one online

Nice numbers, the only difference with the setup that I am going to run is that i'll be using a bigger TMIC and 3" exhaust (which I already have). Any thoughts on the difference in power I should expect in comparison to your setup?

There shouldn't be any difference other than you will spool about 500-900 rpm's faster than me

Here found my 91 octane graph

Ok..I found the turbo for 700$ shipped from a vendor on NASIOC. The only problem it seems is that nobody in Southern Cali has tuned for this turbo yet. What injectors/TMIC/ would you suggest I run? Harman Motive said to just stick with a stock STI TMIC, although i'm a little concerned that it won't be big enough.

The STI Intercooler should do you good and the STI pinks are good enough for that turbo...you will need a larger fuel pump as well...I suggest that you heat wrap or coat the exhaust housing on the turbo to help against heat soaking the TMIC...you could also buy a spray on heat resistant coating to put on the back on the TMIC that you can get from Autozone or someplace.
