Mods for '03 transferrable to '05 wrx

I've got a 2003 WRX Wagon, and i want to start modding it out, but I'm worried about longevity and moving things over. I have 25K on it right now and I just got it a little a few months ago, the thing is that I put about 35K on my car each year. If I mod my car, how many miles can I realiably drive it? I usually buy used, so what parts can I efficiently put on '03 WRX wagon that would be transferrable to an '05 WRX wagon if I were to get one of those in about 3 years?

The mods I was about to get included up/dp, rear swaybar/endlinks, short throw shifter, and a reflash...

Thanks for any help,
Justin

I'm just wondering if I do mods, will I be able to transfer them to a new WRX wagon in the future? How far will my suby go if I mod it?

The UP/DP would transfer, and I think the shifter and sway bars would too. Obviously the reflash would not though.
The mods you mentioned would not hurt the longevity of your car. New turbo, high boost is what will hurt longevity.

Would anyone happen to know about 2006? Will UP/DP, shifter, and sway bar work with the upcoming 2006 model?

Thanks for any help,
Justin

I think the 06 is the same as the 05, the 07 will be the new model. So they should work. Im not positive on that though. Do a search, there are plenty of threads full of speculation.

MY06 is the US will not have any changes from the 05 model as far as I know. MY07 in the US will be the new 2.5L so you should have the same transferability w/ an 06 as you would w/ an 05.

Well exterior wise.......the 2006 will have a whole new front end. It looks pretty cool, but at first I wasn't to happy with the grill. It has grown on me now, so it isn't that bad!! The lights look cool, but ya'll will see what I'm talking about. Also, the only other difference that I see is the tailights. They look more like altezza lights......I think they look alright. As far as parts,etc..I'm not really sure. I doubt they changed much......

Here is the link for pics of the new subie...
