Oh okay. Well it seems this guy will probably not be coming back here. Sad, but I really hope he is careful with the info he gets over there...

And I'm not sure what this meant either, if this was meant for me not reading your post, or the OP not reading your post.

Just stay away from Uncle Scotty's cocktail...It'll eat your transmission.

The mix breaks down starts to corrode copper after 10-15k miles, meaning it will weaken your synchros over time.

So what your saying is that this trans cocktail is going to destroy my transmission. I have yet to hear of this and I have been running it for at least 3 years now.

I'm feeling too lazy to find a UOA. Also, the synchromesh is bad for your center dif.

How can it effect the center diff? I looked for info on it being bad for my trans last night and came up with nothing more than one guy complaining about it. Again I have been running it for years and never had any bad side effects and let's face it I run my car hard.

I'd be weary of the Andrewtech one as well.

Subie Extra "S" is the way to go.... my 2¢

c2bcoolwrx is more helpful than not
There is a HUGE thread on NASIOC about USC (Uncle Scotty's Cocktail). It was like a 1000 pages and basically a bunch of people did oil analysis of it and found after 10-15K miles (as stated above) it becomes acidic and corrosive. DO NOT USE IT! I thought this was common knowledge, as USC was proven to be bad a long time ago.

Any of these would be fine:

1) Motul Gear 300
2) Subaru Extra S
3) Andrewtech Cocktail (3 qts Redline Lightweight Shockproof, 1 qt Motul Gear 300)

Personally, I just use straight Motul Gear 300 and have been using it for a while running 332whp/338trq on my stock 5-speed tranny. I just don't like the idea of mixing oils (chemistry experiment) as each oil has its own properties and not everything mixes well. But, Andrewtech is one of the premier Subaru Transmission builders/repairs in the USA and I trust their judgement. Turn in Concepts/TIC swears by straight Motul Gear 300. Many swear by straight Subaru Extra S, it is a nonsynthetic.
