looking to buy 18g tdo6 turbo

just want some suggestions on this turbo, since i am looking to replace my vf39.
As u guys have seen my old post, puting down 335 whp with the vf39, but i have noticed my turbo is now smokng when the car is cold and i know it will get worse. So i am looking to replace it with the FP18G TD06 7 cm2 housing.I wanna know if i can make more power with this new setup and the same time not costing too much. Also hope it will spool nearly as quick as my old VF39.
thanks guys for any advise on this .

Check out blouchturbo.com. Send them an email asking about it, and describing what you are looking for. They are very helpful people.

Hey not a problem. I have contacted them with questions as I researched for my future and had helpful info from them, and have also heard nothing but good from them. Keep us posted as to what you get and how it goes.

The 2.0L motor is better matched with a TD05 housing. It will give you better spool. You will definitely get bigger numbers with the 18g than with the vf39.

My name is Ken and I am a HP Junkie.

If I recall the OP is running meth also which will assist in all that if he gets the turbo and gets a nice tune on it. Best of luck Boost.

TD06SL2-18G-7cm - Forced Performance Turbochargers: Subaru FP 18G Turbocharger

Should be perfect for a meth fueled EJ205 pushing you in the 310-330whp range. A little big for standard octane EJ205s but with some more fuel potential, it's a great choice. The SL2 housing is the newest one I believe...

so i checked out the blouch turbos and so there is alot of good words abt them, but their way off my budget, so i am gonna get the 18G TD06 SL2 with the 7 cm2 housing from extreme psi by ( FORCED PERFORMANCE ) for $831.00 shipped as compare to $1250 from blouch .
I was told this set up will spool abt 200 rpm later than the VF39 which is still not too much lag and will give me a good top end punch and tops out at 400 to the wheels.
Thank you guys for the input and i will keep u update on the install and tune with this new turbo.

The price is high, but i think of it as overhead that is worth it. They'll stand behind their work if anything goes wrong, unlike most other places which will just deem it your fault, and then not replace the turbo. Seen it in other forums. I think I'll leave it at that...and not start a flame war.

blouch has a better reputation, and their 18g comes port and polished (hot side) with a td06 compressor housing
