JDM 2.0ltr engine

I was looking at Rallispec.com and saw a EJ207 block on there, and was wondering how much power do those make? and what makes an engine Groupe N legal; says the Spec C isnt Groupe N legal so im just wondering. And as far as the price, is it worth it to do one of those engine swaps? or get short block and do it that way?

JDM STi Longblocks put down 280 HP stock.

I'd go with the 2.5L short block and build that up. Cheaper, and more displacement for your money. $1,500 gets you the entire short block with gaskets.

A friend of mine bought a 2.0L sti short block.. he bought his from axis though.. he got cp pistons and rods.. He bought new heads(had a crack in the old ones long story). Bought cams , retainers and everything else.. his motor is very close to be put back in. He bought a fpGreen and aps front mount and water injection kit.. He is getting it tuned with a utec and is bring it up to the guys at turbox for the tune. He is going for 400whp i think he should make the much hp.. with the water injection ,fpgreen and a 9k+ redline.. not to mention a sick tune.. only prob is the stock tranny lol.. not going to last long at all ...

i hope he is getting the ECU flashed first....cause they will have fun tuning that thing with just a UTEC!
