There is nothing wrong with them, but they really don't do much. They only fit the stock intercooler. Any other intercooler you would buy will probably come with new hoses as well.

Supposedly they smooth out the air flow, but I don't know how true that is. There are probably many other things you can spend your money on that will gain you more hp.

According to JSC speed the stock hoses crack from the stress of extreme driving conditions. The Perrin hoses increase flow giving a "noticable" 5 hp. $130 for 5 hp sounds pretty unresonable, but whut under $130 delivers more than 5hp excluding ANY exhaust mods?

The claim 5 hp. One that is probably not proven. Two you probably couldn't feel a difference between a car w/ 227 hp and a car w/ 232 hp. But I am going to end up getting them just because I plan on keeping the stock IC and I want to maximize its performance and also dress up the engine bay.

I have them on my car, I guess I'm a believer of the smoother air flow idea. If you think of it with exhaust's would you rather have a mandrel bent exhaust or one with a bunch of kinks in it? IMO smoother is better. I also read in Sport compact car magazine on project WRX they used Vishnu IC hoses and Vishnu said a gain of 6-7 hp, but you can't go by everything you read.

5 hp is not enough to be noticable. In fact, I've seen a car go on a dyno three times back to back, and have a 6-7 hp difference between each run.

The faster spool time out weighs the horsepower gain.

please explain how smoother pipes after the turbo with the same internal volume as a convoluted one will help the turbo spool. i may have missed that day at turbo school

If you're going to be upgrading to a fmic, hold off on buying these. I have them, although they're very nice, I didn't notice any significant increase in power or spool.

Just my 2 pennies.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

They are not the same internal volume therfore creating less resistance between the compressor outlet and the I.C. Just as the silicone inlet pipe and MAF hoses are not quite the same as the stock pieces as well.

My g/f got me a set a GP Moto hoses for Christmas last year. I may have just imagined it, but it felt like it did help it to spool a little faster. Hey, she was paying for it so why not?
