There is an aftermarker tube that is just an elbow with out the big plastic baffle attached...I didn't but an elbow in at all and just left the airbox to get the air from the wheel well rather than the intake on the front of the car. To each thier own is...everyone has thier on way of doing things...nothing said in here has been wrong...it's all about what you want to do...I don't like to spend money that I don't have to so I never bought the elbow and just simply took the air baffle out.

The elbow

how do you get the elbow out. it was easy to take off the stock ram air but i cant seem to get the stock elbow out. i took off the one screw, and the only way that i can see to get it out is through the 2 holes that it connects. but i cant seem to fit it out of the holes.
what am i doing wrong.

jack up your car, take off the passenger-side wheel. take off the plastic liner that is in the wheel well, it should come off easily after you take off the plastic "bolts" that hold it in place. Then you are going to see a big plastic piece that looks like a box, it should come off just as easily after you unbolt it, you can access one bolt by sticking your hand into the wheel well and the other one is on the engine compartment. Put the plastic linerand the wheel back on, take the jack off and you are good to go.

...At least thats the way I did it, off course it will be safer if you use jackstands but I dont have those...

...now go get your hands dirty and have fun!

port/polish turbo
port/polish stock exh manifolds
port/polish throttlebody
gut stock up-pipe
TVG deletes

you will have to buy some materials but if you have some mechanical ability and common sense this stuff is pretty easy and fairly cheap with good rewards.

First off TGV delete's aren't really helpful until you have a big turbo and other mods. What the TGV delete does is rids the intake manifold of the 'butterfly' clips that restrict air into the Manifold. There are several ways of doing it but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't know what they are doing or don't have someone there that does.
