if you get an intake mod (like just removing your resonator), you will hear plenty of psssh. Getting some fancy BOV is for OTHER people to hear your psssh and that's just sad. Grow a pair.

I would have to disagree on that. True it is possibly not good on a stock WRX but if you run an upgraded turbo and push higher PSI it is a good idea. Then it comes down to personal preference, I prefer to run my HKS SSQV becuase I like it not to impress others. And yes I ran mine while I was stock, never having the rough idle and carbon build up on the bumper like some claim to have happened.
upgraded turbo to push higher psi.. how MUCH PSI? The stock BOV is good for 20psi... What turbo are you planning on running that's going to push more than that?
you kids need to stop watching fast and the furious a louder sound is the only reason you would have to replace the stock one it's good for 20psi you ain't touching that any time soon with your setup

any turbo that is capable of around 18+ I personally would want to upgrade just for the sake of doing away with one more weak link. Some stockers hold over some slightly less than 20PSI. Why not go with something that is designed to hold more pressure?
