i have the greddy recirculating. I did not want the loud blow off sound. It works just like my stock one, but you hear it blow off a little on a hard acceleration and shift. If you want one get the recirculating one, you can make it recirculating or atmospheric. THats the beauty of the greddy BOV.
upgraded turbo to push higher psi.. how MUCH PSI? The stock BOV is good for 20psi... What turbo are you planning on running that's going to push more than that?
Don't know if this has already been said or not, I didn't read the entire post.. Hoever the Stock BOV "can hold up to 18-20 Psi" however it is a pregressive spring which will slowly open more and more.. With a stronger upgraded BOV at higher boost levels you will have less pressure loss and a more efficient setup.. And the stock unit is a Bypass Valve not a BOV.

heres a repsonse if you dont want to kill some rpm's between shifting then keep your setup recirculated. if you take it off for the sound then your most likely going to blow a check engine light and then raise the rpm's in between shifts due to the turbo lag (more time for it to spool up between shifts)

I have personally never seen a BOV throw a CEL, and I don't understand you logic about the RPMs..
As stated several times in this post alone, the Aftermarket BOV will release pressurixed air that should be plumbed back into the air intake system like the factory BPV does to keep the turbo spooled..
