Maybe I am crazy but a vf39 doesnt flow that much more then a 13t even at 7 psi your no where near anything in volume of air as say if you where at 16 psi or 18psi of a 13t. How exactly would that blow your car up? Not that I am saying it was a good idea to do that in the first place but if hes not flowing it keeping it out of boost, it shouldnt be that awful to start...plus hows the car going to know you changed turbos? It doesnt, its mechanical.....

it flows more, particularly at lower boosts. The wastegate is computer controlled remember. Leaving it closed due to thinking the turbo is something else is bad. Also any substantial airflow increase like that without more fuel is going to lean the hell out of the car. 20% more air? Seriously lean.

i still have a smile on my face when i drive.. and i only had the vf-39 on my car for about 2 months.
