The turbo XS downpipe goes to either a race pipe or cat pipe from turboxs. I chose the catpipe just so I feel that I am legal. The Helix DP is like the Turbo XS downpipe plus catpipe/racepipe.
Ahh. I've never seen their pipe with the cat. I figured it was right past the turbo like most others.
im runnin 0, if the rednecks can do it in about every beat pos they have why cant i?
That's very true. When you think about how emmisions laws work it's kinda foolish. Test the new cars that have all the latest and greatest equipment and are running in peak form since they are NEW!
Don't test carsd over 10 years old since it'd be too hard to make them pass!!!?!!! The old cars are the ones you see spewing toxic fumes! I just shake my head when I see a 1983 K car spewing blue smoke into my air. This car is exempt?! It should be scrapped since it most likely isn't worth fixing.
Emissions certs are a joke. They are a way for the Govt to pooch screw you. IF the air was such a concern they'd go to clean up factories and power plants and such
I've got the two left in the downpipe/mid pipe thing. I just had my car inspected and here in PA, they don't actually test your exhaust - they hook up to your cars computer to see if it's throwing any codes! Thanks to the $0.02 radio shack capacitor, I've got a nice shiny new emissions sticker!
Oh, by they way, I installed the UTEC over the weekend and am running 16 psi of boost. Nice difference! Now I've got to adjust the AFR and timing.
I dont have any cats on my car, but if I park on the right side of my garage I am near the shelf where the stock cats are sitting...does that count?? I also live out where we dont need emissions yet...yet! depending on where in AZ you are at, the tree huggers can get pretty nasty. when they swoop down on my neck of the woods, I will simply get a high flow cat and weld it in!
I like the metro idea! 3 cyls of screaming power to commute to and from work. I was thinking of picking up a TDI Golf to get around in. those things can get up to 72 mpg with a K&N and a light foot!

Where in AZ are you? I am in Tucson & go to the Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe area alot.
I have no cats. %$@* the cops. My car smells like the go-carts at disneyland. Even if a cop actually proves I don't have any cats, it would be a small ticket at the most. If you're worried about four years in jail, you should sure-as-hell not pull the tag off your matress.
Hey man the cops aren't out there just to piss you off. They have a job to do just like everybody else. Don't flame them because your car is louder than sin. That disturbs other people who don't want a loud rumble through their house. I mean if I was allowed to by the parentals I would go catless but I am not allowed to. One car won't hurt anything IMO. Its not the cops fault man.

Yeah...... and pull off to the side for the fire truck! Oh.. errmm sorry. [Steps off soap box]
One car won't hurt anything you say?? Well, what if solbergfan says and thinks that, and J.D. and T WREX and.... you understand?
I think if every car enthusiast went catless, the air would be fine because there are more people out there who don't touch their car to modify it. I hate the need for cats but I can understand the decibal limit. I am guessing he got pulled over for being too loud...but I may be wrong.
