The Perrin is pretty loud with a regular downpipe. With a catless downpipe I imagine it will be even louder.

A friend of mine just ordered a Bosal cat back, and his car has a catless downpipe. Towards the end of next week I can let you know for sure.

thanks cosmo, id appreciate that alot! btw i think that the stock tach is off just as much as most aftermarket tachs would be because my factory will say 200 rpms less at idle when the aftermarket say 700-750 rpm but the factory is quicker at reading so it can be ahead of the other. probably go back to stock after a while.

the Bosal dual tip is in the middle of the loudness scale (when catless). nowhere near the melonshooter level. everybody loves the sound of it. i have one right now, but it resonates the wagon (which i hear is what happens with most of the exhausts) at 70-80 mph that i get fatigued after 2-3hours of highway driving (which i drive pretty often for work) i'm going with the EVO2 which should be here tomorrow. if i didn't drive so much for work, i would have kept it,.

i have run three exhausts on my car catless:

Greddy EVO:by far the quietest, and my favorite. mellow untill you get on it hard, and has a good note then
ATR: just plain irritating loud as hell. think helicopter buzzing the highway loud.
Stock: sounds like ass with catless DP, i think...too tinny/ricey

i have installed several others, the stromung on koby's car sounded nice, as did the prodrive i installed on another persons car too.

i like the dual tips , they seem to bring the boxer sound out more from all the clips ive heard. i know the borla had my girls computer stand shaking when it dropped revs. i heard that theperrin was deafening and i was also told by someone on here that the atr was even louder. basically i want a louder exhaust that brings the boxer out and doesnt make the waaaa sound like ricers. if ive heard a damn prelude sound good with a 4 1/2 tip then mines gotta sound better.
i saw a wannab cool guy in a rex.i couldnt even hear his big melon sizer, all i heard was WWOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHH from the turbo. if someone needs my attention all they gotta do is rev before they pass me.
anyone know of a site with a bosal soundclip? but i say if cosmo says it sounds good and all that will be a big part in my decision
thanks for the feedback guys! highly appreciated!!!

sound clips can be found here
http://www.clubwrx.net/forums/showth...0&pagenumber=1

the sound clips are not as deep as the Bosal dual tip really are.

i measured 110db (from 24" back) when i rev'd to about 4k rpm (w/ bosal DP and twin tip)
i now have a Evo2 haven't checked the SPL, but i'm guessing about 96db w/the Bosal DP
