Question How do I make power

Is there any way to make a decent amount of power with my 02 WRX with out sacrificing reliability?

Yup and welcome...

Exhaust system, decat.
a good tune from the stock tune, ecu
and some weight reduction, if your into that only ofcourse...
suspension: springs or coilovers ect...
Brakes: later in, faster out, corners ect...

Take a read on most of the sticky info at the top of each section for a roundabout idea.

bolt on 'mods' = more power
recommended service intervals= reliability

if your car blows a timing belt it's not becasue you have an intake or a swaybar. look in the owner's book

you'll get some good power alone with a TBE with an up-pipe and a good tune or just get the cobb ap.

Send a message via AIM to Black Night
start witha simple 3 icnh downpipe and an up-pipe to remove the cat....then start with cobb AP since it is the easiest to use and huge power gains can be found from this unit alone.....youll be able to flash to stage 2 for under 1000.00 and you will notice a huge difference in power and torque

Gotta pay to play sometimes.ANY time you start to mod ANY car you are going to theoreticly sacrifice reliabilty. As power goes up,reliablity goes down. Also a great place to find answers to Frequently Asked Questions. Is would be one of them

Before you ask a technical question, read this
