Im no expert but from what I understand in terms of quality they are essentially the same they are all made at factories with stainless steal and in terms of performance they are all exactly the same because its the same design.

That is not necessarily true. In actuality, an Uppipe with a flex section is more prone to cracking at the flex section. That is why the location of the flex section is important. If the location of the flex section is close to or at one of the bends of the pipe where a lot pressure is placed it will be more prone to cracking.

GrimmSpeed does a good job of explaining why location of a flex section is important.

What the flex section does do is make the installation a little easier because of the flex.

Personally, I went with the Perrin UPP which has no flex.

Exactly, the flex is more prone to crack, but makes the install easier.

At least buy a name brand uppipe, fitment needs to be pretty precise or you will develop a leak over time. i had one of those no name e-bay ones crack, because it didnt fit all that well. the flex section hit the head. so I replaced it with a Cobb and it fit perfect.

from what i've heard perrin is the best bang for the buck and will be the one i'm purchasing, i've also heard the flex UP's are easier to install but leak at the flex section over time.

I disagree that flex sections leak by rule. Most work perfectly fine and do what they're designed to do.

i just got the hks yesterday. No problems installing it and the fit was perfect. All the welds look strong and looks clean on the car. Don't spend the extra money when the hks is just as good....your just paying for the name at that point.
