Hey what's up everybody I have been searching on here for like 8 months and finally decided to join. I have a 2002 wrx with 120,000 miles tbe, up pipe, turbo inlet, k@n drop in, and a pro tune from slow motion mtrsports in Ohio. I'm looking into a short ram I know it has been beat to death and it can lean out my car but do you think I could run a k@n typhoon for maybe 2 months until retune? It seems like it would be okay because my a/f ratio currently reads 10.9-11.3 at full throttle according to my uego so would a typhoon be okay since I have a protune with pretty rich readings?
I think a typhoon should be fine. The air flow is clean before the sensor. I think you have a problem when the tube has a Sharp bend before the MAF. The bend distorts the air flow and causes false MAF readings.
Excitement from dyno charts. Both good points I dont know what exactly I'm gonna do yet my tuner said it would be fine for the moment just wanted to hear your guys opinions and thanks. I have a stock filter to throw in if it runs to rough without the tune, if it does I'll just throw it on right before the tune I guess.
