HELP!!! Smoking turbo why?

Ok, so here is the deal....
I replaced the turbo and put a vf30 on which i purchased from someone through a forum and he said it only has 5k on the turbo, looking at it it was on awesome condition no shaft play, very clean. And running a bigger turbo i purchased 660cc injectors, ported and polished intake manifold and throttle body, and tgv valve delete. After setting it all up, i knew my tune would be terrible from a stock turbo, and i do have all supporting mods. But after starting the car up it's very shaky and goes into limp mode almost turning itself off. My AF ratio was at 10.0 and i didnt expect it to be that bad. Anyhow it's getting tuned saturday and i'm wondering why this turbo would be smoking so bad??? Anyone have ideas?? I'm almost certain i didnt miss any sensors but may have, if so anyone have an idea to that as well??

Smoking as in on the surface or out the tailpipe?

Yeah definitely don't run the car without a tune and larger injectors. The ecu still thinks you have smaller injectors in it and keep the same pulse, but it's a bigger injector, so the same pulse on the injector yields more fuel, hence the super rich idle.

It's smoking on the surface of the turbo, Smoke out of the tailpipe looks to be normal, i've went over my oil feedline/drain lines and it looks perfect. And as far as tuning as long as i figure this turbo out precision tuning in jersey will be tuning it. Well unless you guys know of anyone else closer to eastern PA that tunes the UTEC

UTEC....I can't say that I do. I know CBRD Speedfactory does Cobb and O/S tunes. Sh!t, I forget the name of the place in lancaster that does the O/S tunes. I believe the guy's name that runs the place is Ricky or whatever. My one friend went there because it was cheaper than CBRD.

What color is the smoke sir?

I had the same problem and it was the water line to the turbo.
put a new clamp and no more smoke.

All under control It was just excess oil burning off the turbo, Got the VF30 setup running and WOW! Feels like a whole new car, and i actually read up on tuning the UTEC and tuned it myself and it is pretty much perfect! Thanks guys
