Hi, i have 2002 impreza sohc ej25 i got for real cheap but the motor is no good.. im looking at jdm shop for other motor like

#1 `` JDM Subaru EJ20 TURBO ENGINE OUT OFF A FORESTER 1997 DIRECTLY IMPORTED FROM JAPAN 30000 MILES.``

#2 ``JDM EJ25 DOHC SUBARU ENGINE IMPORTED FROM JAPAN LOW MILEAGE dont know what year``

#3 ``JDM EJ20 Turbo swap out off a Subaru WRX 1995 from Japan only 55000km.
JDM EJ20 SUBARU WRX GC8 IMPREZA TURBO MOTOR EJ20T STI

if any one can tell what they think ...

perso i would like #1 to fit my 2002 for the low cost this motor is 1100$ but how will this cost me to have it run.. im looking to fix that car for about 1600$ in total, i can do most of the work ...i change few motor on Subaru but this is my first swap.. most swap i see are sti v7+ motor but i don't have that kind of money .. only thing i know is if i get jdm ej25 2002-2004 they are dohc and are direct replacement don't need to change harness or ecu to make them work soo for now if any one know if older version will fit as easy ..

option1
get a old jdm 1994 to 1999 ej20 turbo =motor cost is good for me but installation ??

option2
get ej25 jdm under 2000- =will bolt-on same but will harness?,ecu? or other??

option3
get jdm 2002-2003 ej25 =this one im sure it will fit no problem to run on original component.

thx

I was hoping just having to modify little bit the harness in order to make the older v3,v4 engine work... they are easy to find for cheap v3,v4 is 1100$ to 1600 at my jdm local dealer

ill probably end up with ej25 jdm dohc its 900$ normaly ( 1999-2001) or 1100$ ( 2002-2003)

maybe better if i get my 1999 ej22 out of my winter car this is maybe the cheapest way to have this 2002 impreza back on the road...
