I suggest you read the FAQs section in this forum and especially the sticky for noobs on how to tune the WRX. It's different from most other imports on the market today where a simple CAI and exhaust will net you power increases like with DSMs and Hondas.

Putting a CAI on an otherwise stock WRX will be hurting your car. I'd say take it off, sell it on eBay, get yourself an exhaust system first. The stock airbox is good for ~300hp or so from what I hear. I still have my stock airbox assembly.

If you insist on running the CAI (although I have no idea why you would) I'm betting the problem is tht you put your MAF sensor in backwards when you installed it.

but i don't know if that is why it won't start, because i had mine out an it still started. did you try reseting the computer too. although that doesn't seem the problem, but you can try it.

ill put money on it that the MAF sensor is on backwards. Just turn the pipe around and the car will start up

It's easy to put the sensor in backwards. Because of the way the wires are positioned. Turn the sensor around and see how it runs.
