greddy type-s bov, not ## usual sound, do u have this problem?

k so heres my issue...

i installed the bov and its dumping in the atmosphere(save the lectures) now when u rev it up, u can here the trademark loud high pitch whistle, but when u shift its jus makes a low pitch "pssshhht" kinda like the mopar srt-4 bov but quieter and when i had my lancer and my bov was recirculated it was louder and it gave that cool trademark sound when shifted ....but i only get it when i rev it...

anyone know why or do they get that same problem. Everyone says its really loud, i dont get that...

HELP ME OUT GURU'S THANKS

What is your boost level? The higher the boost the louder it should be, if you have it adjusted right.
Are you using the same BOV you used on the Lancer? If so did you change the spring? To run atmospheric you need a stiffer spring than the recirculated one.

You dont adjust a Type S but replacing the "Spring". My guess is that the BOV is not adjusted properly. It sounds like it is too tight. Try loosening it up a bit and going for a drive. The Type S on my single turbo'd Supra is pretty loose.

Remember, the sound will be different depending on how much air is exiting the valve. My friend's Greddy Type S sounds similar to what you're describing but there is also a high pitched sound to. I'm with everyone else here, it sounds like it's too tight or too loose... try playing with the adjustment.

The thing about the type S is, unless you're utilizing both nipples on it, you're not going to have much adjustability.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

Yeah that's correct. Should have gotten the H34 so you could recirculate it though...
