You do not need to upgrade the fuel rail but it is a nice addition to what you already have. I am not sure if you need to retune with the new rails or not.

Fuel Rails are a very good idea...the stock rails suck with flow and strave your engine...with that said many people are still running stock rails but when you are creeping up past 300whp it is just a time bomb without the proper fuel upgrades...and you should get tuned after every major upgrade if you want to get everything outta of them

I've heard that the rails are good for quite a ways past 300whp and if you did replace them I would definitley get tuned again.

I had the same dilemma. I've talked to a bunch of guys who know what they are doing. I was advised not to get them cause I won't need them just yet. The stock ones are good for up to about 500hp. That doesn't mean the stock rails are the bomb, it just means they CAN handle that kind of power. Although, it would be a good idea to get them if you are going to be running a high hp application. It's more of a safety/insurance issue. Plus they make it harder to tune for which = more $$. I was told to hold off on them by COBB's tuner. I'll talk to him about this more when he tunes my car, and get back to you guys.

That's crazy for them to say that since they have them as well. That's like calling a Subaru dealership and asking them if you should buy an Evo.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

as long as you have them, put them on. it can only help. as long as you really don't have to get it re-tuned.

I was just busting your chops. !Laugh! I'd say to go for it, if you already have them. It won't hurt anything. Well, maybe your knuckles depending on how much of a pita they are to install.

Well just dont get drunk during the install ...I was drinking harder beer than usual

you will need to take your intake manifold off to remove the stock rails, relocate the fuel pressure regulator to the driver side on top of the intake manifold...the hardest part is removing and reinstalling the manifold...be sure not to bend the gasket....I did and I thought I blew my #3 cylinder

But I did get a Forged 2.5L outta the deal
