Front Mount Dimensions?

I am wondering what the common dimensions are for a core. I am going to buy just a core and get custom piping, but dont know what a good size is. Please post the core you own, the dimensions, and any pics of possible. Thanks in advance

Why do it that way? I have a friend who did just such a thing, and he ended up paying more than if he was to buy a whole FMIC kit.

### i can get good deals on cores, and a friends shop of mine has a mandrel bender. So for me, its going to be a cheaper, better route.

I'm with Cosmo on this one. But if you think it will be cheaper and just as good, so be it. I'm currently using a FMIC by APS:

"core dimensions of 9.5" x 28" x 4.5" (24.1cm x 71.1cm x 11.4cm) for a surface area of over 266 square inches and a total intercooler core volume of 1,197 cubic inches (19,600 cm3) (the largest by far of aftermarket WRX and STI intercoolers) that's over 4.5 times the size of the standard top mount intercooler."
