Did it, including the Home Depot 3" 45 & 90 duct into the fender well, with the RS plug. Difference? Yes, spool RPM went from 3800ish to 32-3300ish. Was it worth it? Only took 15minutes. Hardest part was getting the plastic rivets out of the fender lining.

Added Bonus: The wife noticed the spool time, and she likes the subtle noise increase!

believe me......that is one of the easiest mods to return to stock.....uninstall a modded stage 2 and have it go back to the dealer..then talk to me about changes!!! now i am at modded stage 3...with stage 4 going in this weekend......after the intake is ported.

i love my job.....

Joey

Hey,

Please let me know how your stage 4 intsall goes. I have the Stage 4 items sitting in my garage right now. Just waiting for my dad to let me know when i can use his station and tools to do the intsall. (less the stage 3 already installed., so just the VF30, injectors, and fuel pump. Are you going with the Perrin Fuel Rails too? Many say you will need them. I ordered them and then cancelled the order based on Phil's advice from TXS. He said they've tested with and without the rails, and they make absolutely NO differnece as to rich/lean A/F ratios and EGT's. He suggested he would much rather see me spend my money on some decent tuning on a dyno than on the rails. So i believe they are not needed. I believe the prob with Cylinder #3 is the relative close location to all the hottest spots in the engine bay, turbo, uppipe, etc.

Your opinion?

Have any of you guys just hacked the snokel and reinstalled the "ram air"? Then it would look stock, correct? Would you still have the sound increase or would it be reduced due to the "ram air"? Also, do you notice your car running any cooler or underhoods temps to be cooler due to (in theory) more cold air faster? (is that a valid statement?) Since, you removed 3ft of plastic? Thanks again.

I took the snokel off and hacked it. I can hear the turbo much better but the bypass valve is still none existant.

Is the resonator the same as the "silencer"? I believe it is. Is the bypass valve only noticable at high Rpm's or boost? Is it a distint sound? Or is it kind of blend in with the turbo? Thanks.

you'll know when you hear the BOV

another question: is there another silencer/resonater deal other than the one before the MAF?
