Honestly though, to get significant performance gains through safe means, whether it be power, handling or what have you, you need to dish out some cash to get high quality parts. But, if you're looking into downpipes and all, I would say go for a used one. The thing sits under your car for its whole life so nobody really gets to see it. Plus it doesn't get very worn from use if you ask me, so save some $$ and get a used one.
thx for the tips man, i will look into a used one. im not looking to gain anything really noticable from free mods, but i know most cars have little things you can do, like the elbow in the airbox, and i might as well get them done, regardless of how much gain, gain is gain.

No problem. And you're right, a gain is a gain!

Other little things you can do are things such as changing the interior lighting of your Sube. All you need to do is get the lamp covers which are really cheap. Other than that, it just takes some time, patience and instructions from scoobymods.com and you're good. I changed all of my HVAC and stereo lights to red and it looks great at night!

Hehe thanks Nose Nuggets. I was away from my computer for the whole weekend so you got to it before me. Good looking out!

If you're ever looking for a specific question about our cars, most likely it's been asked before. Some good resources (other than this site) that I usually check are:

www.nasioc.com
www.scoobymods.com

These sites are like huge databases for information. You have to watch out so you don't believe everything that you read but nonetheless they have loads of info.

F*ck the 3/16 mod

If you have some extra time on your hands...

1. Intake silencer removal.

2. Gut your downpipe (i would just save and buy an aftermarket one)

3. Go on a diet (less weight = more speed :-D )

4. Put some chinese symbols on your doors, that always helps. (What do they say??? Ching chang chong my car kicks ass...)

Gutting a DP wouldn't do much. The wastegate would still be blocked off and you won't really notice any more power gains.

Usually people put their last name (family name) on the side of their car. It's an asian thing.
