Regardless of which you put on your car you'll need a tune to get the most out of it and enjoy the fun that comes with it, but it would be suggested that you go with a TMIC right now.

the font mount will give drop of max 1 psi at 18 psi and if tuned properly will make a very significant diffrence in power and lots better cooling and say goodbye to hotsoak!!! i talked to my tuner today... automasters.com of westchester all that crap about lag on a stock turbo will a fmic is all bs it just needs a good tune and youll be ok.

i belive the cobb has set maps kind of "universal" i guess you would say set for say a down pipe and intake. as far as intercooler mods you would have to get a protune to adjusted for it.. .altough the cobb will work fine you just wont get the most out of your intercooler.

It's not BS.It's simple physics. If you increase the volume between the compressor outlet and throttlebody,a larger area has to be pressurized before you start making positive pressure. It will be most noticeable between 1st and 3rd.Lots of HARD DATA floating out there about this.Don't always take what everybody/anybody says as the gospel (including me).Thats why I like to provide links with factual info...

ARE Cooling (Aluminium Radiators & Engineering P/L)
Big Intercooler

Also the FMIC kit you choose makes a huge difference in how much lag.Not all use the same size core or charge pipe size.APS makes too FMIC kits. One will have substantialy more lag than the other on smaller turbos.Toss in a 100% atmosperic BOV and the problem becomes worse. Significant difference in power over a aftermarket bar & plate TMIC on a stock turbo?Doubt it.Maybe at the drag strip but for the most part when your moving heatsoak (not hotsoak) isn't an issue especially with a big bar & plate TMIC.
