Finally Got It!

Just got my SPT catback on today...wow it is awesome. It has such a low growl to it. This is my first mod so I have nothing else on there to change the sound and man am I pleased. It sounds so husky. Bummer part is that I found a gash in my TMIC, not to happy about that, but it is overshadowed by the immense joy and excitement of the SPT. I can't even imagine the sounds of a TBE Cobb or some of the other great exhausts this sounds great. If anyone is one the fence of buying this guy, do it you won't regret it.

I am super pumped about the sound. I will have to get my TMIC fixed so I will feel at top performance, but other than that I am just on high of what future mods will bring.

After posting this I realize I am about in a world of hurt because now instead of being passive on buying parts I am hooked and now need to get more. AHHHHHHH

I am assuming the owner before me slipped with a tool or something was left in the engine bay. I have no idea it is a slice across that punctured it in a few places and many fins are bent. Sucks. My thought is though if the dealership would let me put on an STI IC instead of a stock WRX. Would they let me and would it void warranties? I know aftermarket is out of the question, but maybe the STI, it is bigger than the WRX so I will have to see.

I wouldn't think any IC could void your warranty. It's not a performance part without a tune. I am sure you could pic a rex one up cheap from someone else who upgrades.

It might help throttle response slightly, but no real power advantage without a tune. Im sure either could be found for relatively cheap though. Good luck with your search.
