Just a quick update.. sorry, didn't get a chance to record today since I don't want to bother the neighbors considering I live in the middle of campus.. but you'll all love this.
My roommates have been joking with me that when I leave or come back I shake the windows of the house. Apparently, they weren't kidding. The Perrin resonates at the perfect frequency where at idle, if you put your hand against one of the facing windows, you'll feel it vibrate. And when I full throttle it, it literally shakes the ground floor windows. Our driveway isn't even concrete, it's like dirt.. well mud now because of all this rain.
The tone is so low, when I go home to visit my parents, I can feel the car idle (like how it hums in your head if you know what I mean) in one of the far rooms of the house on a different floor (second floor, but the house is built on a hill so it still touches a lot of ground)
It's a bit loud for my taste, but with the windows rolled up and CD set on volume 5-7 (bass 5, treb 2) I don't really notice it. It's definatly turns heads and with the HKS BOV, I think I freaked a few pedrestians out. Power, I didn't imagine could be that much with doing just an up, dp, and catback. I'm running all Perrin w/ no cats. Exhaust odor is much more than makes me comfortable, especially since it tends to leak into the cabin more when I'm just sitting there.
And to get back on topic, yes, the exhaust pops now, but I only head it when I down shift and it's very suddle... especially compairing it to the rest of the system.
