EVO2 & 3" down pipe

is there a reason that JSC speed is saying that the Greddy EVO2 cat back exhaust will NOT bolt up to an aftermarket 3" down pipe? this seems a little crazy. its also a little disheartning if its true since it is the system that i wanted to buy.

Is it because it needs some kind of adapter (ie. not a direct bolt-on)?

i e-mailed JSCspeed, and they told me that it will not bolt up because the EVO2 tapers to fit the factory downpipe, thus it will not mate up to a 3" aftermarket system.

does anyone have any experiance with this issue? they claim that the borla hush has the same issues.

Help!!!!

i asked Gruppe-S what they thought about the same issue, and they told me that there is no issue!

Gruppe-S and JSC speed are two of the better retailors out there IMO, but they are giving two very different answers to a very simple question.

any ideas here?????
