engine swap

hey ok i am going to put a jdm ej20 in my 05 wrx have pretty good idea of what i am doing put wondering if anyone has any tips or advice and i need help with the ecu and wiring harness being different i have been told many things just trying narrow it down
do i need to buy a new ecu and buy a jdm wiring harness if so where do i get those
well thanks any advice will be appreciated

the jdm ej20 is also known as the ej207, as opposed to the ej205, has a higher redline among other things. it is used in their stis instead of the ej257 which is used in the american stis

Yeah, the redline and internals are great. Ask basco about it, hes running an ej207 with an FP green. He loves it.
