egr? charcoal? where are they

Ya well im looking for the elusive egr valve and the charcol cannister. The reason is we riped all that crap off of my friends dsm and we figured ah might as well. Less weight. I found somthing that looks like a possibility. There is a tube running from the block to the inlet on the very end of the intake right where it meets the turbo. It looks as though it has some type ov valve in it or somthing. As for the charcoal canister there is a gloss black canister right next to the wiper fluid resivor. I think this may be it but im not sure. Answers would be appreciated.

Oh ya we dont have emissions here in West Virgina.

step away....

subarus dont use EGR valves.....what you are refering to is the PCV valve....pretty essential.

the charcoal canister is at the rear of the car, on the pass side, right at the bumper...although i dont see why you want to remove it.

weighs about two pounds, you can make up for that by taking a healthy dump...

not to mention you will have numerous CEL's due to removing it.
