ok,im helping my buddy with his rex(and learnig alot about the car before i get mine)we both happen to have jobs that sorta "require"us to at least have one cat.so i figure that a cat in the DP as long as it is HI-FLOW will work for us.so who makes a good catted down pipe(that will bolt to a helix cat back)?and as far as i understand you put the 02 sensor back in but install the CEL in the wiring for the 02?i hope i got this right.he has a helix UP that we went ahead and installed the EGT sensor back in the pipe,until it goes bad.he carries the resistor just in case.thanks for all the help
cobb's DP with high flow cat is awesome, plus the high flow cat in it is near the "mid-pipe" section where the second stock cat would be. with the helix DP the high flow cat is right near the turbo. i dont know if that would actually cause any issues, but i'd rather have my cat lower in the DP rather than right after the turbo, plus cobb makes really nice stuff, its just more pricey. but i have a helix up-pipe and it works great so if youre on a budget, im sure it'd be fine.

what about the install of the CEL fix.am i right in thinking that it has to be hard wired to the stock wiring harness?if i do that,then do i just screw the o2 back in and alls good??
the helix dp with cat warms up fast plus its near the turbo so yeah good on that... as for the cel fix hold off until you need it...just put the pipe on and slowly break it in like in my post called "cel?"...dont just romp on it...it worked for me
