I have an 04 wrx, so far I only did an intake silencer delete. I bought a perrin downpipe, is it ok for me to put it on withought having a cobb ap yet, or should i just wait to get the ap first?

You are perfectly fine to put it on without the accessport. You just won't see the gains as you would with the accessport already in. Go for it I know how hard it is to see parts laying around waiting to be put in. Just remember to move the drain line over the top of the down pipe or cut it shorter so it doesn't melt to it. And remember a little smell is normal when you first put just about anything on new to the exhaust.
p.s. Dont forget to soak your bolts tonight before you start working on it with some sort of lube helps break the bolts loose better.

Is the DP catted? If not you may get a CEL unless you get something to fool the ECU into thinking the cats are working.

It will be alright it took almost 400 miles before I threw a cel. And two days later my utec and cel fix came in and they were gone. You do plan on getting the accessport soon don't you? But even if you get a cel you can go to autozone a use their reader and check to make sure its the rear o2 sensor. JUST DO IT no worries unless I am missing something cue in guys.

BEST DAMN WRX DOWNPIPE UPPIPE install cobb stage 2 - ScoobyMods

This might help. If not its the black line that sits right over the top of your downpipe. Its hard to miss. But when you put new one you will see the rubber line that touches it from being a bigger diameter. I just tucked mine over towards the passenger side and all was well.
