Cobb TBE

I am looking at a Cobb TBE for a first mod to a 03. How does Cobb compare to Helix, Greddy etc...? I am not looking for alot of extra noise, just some extra go. Thanks

COBB is top of the line, it's also very expensive. I don't think there is a huge difference between companies when it comes to exhaust components and you won't see any more horsepower with the COBB setup vs Helix or any of the others. The price difference is in the name mainly. Deleting the cats is what gains you the horsepower and almost all of the different companies do that.

I agree with bradely03, except that exhaust note should be taken into effect as well. Cobb's TBE is probably among the quieter ones. Helix TBE is much louder. And so on, and so forth...

I have a Cobb TBE and yes, they are too expensive. Got mine to celebrate ex-wife's re-marriage and I wanted to blow money on something previously unattainable. However, the quality is A+++. Fit and finish are perfect and Cobb's muffler tucks in tighter than the stock unit. At certain angles you can see the 3" chrome drain pipe hanging below the undercarriage but no rattles or bumps. I think the sound is awesome, but I'm not sure how much the headers, up-pipe and turbo are influencing it. It's louder than I expected or wanted, but it is a very deep and fierce rumble. Very unique sound.
