it says on the COBB website with a stock engine with an upgraded exhaust system and a Stage 2 flash you will run 280HP... is that accurate?

Hey guys...I'm running AP stage 2/93, never been to the dyno, but I can say that 1/4 mile times dropped drastically from stage 1 to stage 2. I was running mid to high 14s with the stage 1 base map, and a drop in filter, then I installed the catless APS 3" tbe and an APS uppipe and flashed stage 2/93 base map, and ran a best time of 13.54 @99.5 mph, 60 foot on that pass was 1.85ish.

I'd love to get the car pro tuned, but I'm in Louisiana, I'm not even sure which state I'd head to for the session...anyone have any ideas...Texas? northern Florida? trying to stay within the neighboring states. Any suggestions?

Later

Trey

I have full stage 2 and loaded AP map stage 2....yea the car felt good, felt BETTER... But the next morning I went to slowboyracing and had it pro tuned. Wow....HUGE difference. This car pulls so hard off 1st and 2nd its hard to shift in time. 3rd is killer gear pulls long and hard and 4th and 5th is just great passing gears on the highway.

For you fellas out there with a full stage 2 look into a pro tune. I bet you will be amazed at the power difference. Good luck to all with there mods. Looks like im in the lead with mods on the 06 as long as no one beats me to the FMIC and Turbo.

Manics,

Im stopping by slowboyracing on my way up to school in a few days to pick up my accessport, i wont have stage 2 until end of jan, but was wondering what their protuning costs were and how the service was?

Man, I'm excited for you guys. I'm waiting for you to bust into the 12's with your set ups. I'm going to be pissed if I'm not after getting some time on the rollers and some more time at the strip. I know I'm running different EM, but what the hell?

Good luck to you all.

My car is well, it's like 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lb bag...

Well Krit slowboys are a cool group of guys. Tell them Chris with the 06 that got pro tuned told you about it mayb they hook ya up. There cool guys, i think it ran 400...been about 2 months almost since I got it done. Took them over 4 hours of tuning. It was a good time.

Hope to hit the drags here soon as summer rolls around and get that time slip to show you guys. If i hit high 12s i will be happy. Want mid to low but I doubt that will happen. Who knos. take care all happy holidays

Hmmm...i'm off this weekend, and there is a 1/4 mile drag strip nearby. Time to see what my stage 2 wagon can do. I'm itching to get a pro tune soon, however...i'm also considering getting a TMIC, super16G, injectors/feul pump, etc...So perhaps i'll wait before i get all of the new goodies before I get it protuned. It would be nice to baseline my car to see what it currently runs though. My cousin is going to be staying with me over the next week and he has a stock 03 WRX, and he was interested in going to the track as well.

i want the stock sound to my 06 wrx, but i also want the cobb stage 2. is there a way to get a very quiet exhaust, perhaps keep the stock muffler and run stage 2?

also, has anyone with an 06 stage 2 cobb gotten 1/4mile times in yet?

I have a perrin DP, helix UP, and borla hush catback. Very quiet exhaust, and looks like stock. It's just a bit louder than stock, but allows your car to come to life. You'll hear the turbo spool up, the stock blow off valve, and it will be just a bit louder than what you are used to now.
