you do not have to get the cobb tbe to flash the stage 2. i got my tbe from ebay. it works well has a descent sound and cost 200$. You will see the same power gains, it just wont say cobb
yeah i think im going to just order the accessport on saturday night, I just got some new motivation to get things going i raced my friends integra which is slightly modded its a 98 LS i believe or maybe GS i forget any who hes got spark plugs, intake, and a exhaust my car as of now is 100% stock he beat me off the line but thats about the remainder of the race he was smoked and how hes planning to maybe do some more stuff to his car like headers and stuff so Im deff saving up quickly make sure i stay on top :P, but if any one could do me a favor and find on the cobb site where it mentions the whole gains in turbo boost that'd be awesome because i have yet to find it? Additionally any one know how much more it will cost after shipping? It doesnt let me calculate that before I make the purchase and I want to make sure I have enough between the product and the shipping...also if any one has any discount codes or knows where to find them that'd be awesome too!thx
Not much lighter and with the awd if u know how to launch you should smoke him off the line every time!
DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT launch your car. I live in a very heavy WRX commuter/tuner region and every kid in town who thinks launching is a good idea eventually winds up on the other side of my counter going "Hey dude, know anywhere I can get a STi transmission or a replacement for my stock WRX" Read up on "launching" in the forums and u will find out that by "launching" they really mean "slipping the clutch"

Do yourself a favor and pick up the telephone. Who better to know about the product then the maker of it. I'm sure they could tell you a total $$ amount to your doorstep over the phone as well. Any company out there will be happy to talk shop all day...it called customer service and salesmanship. I am not trying to be sarcastic either so don't try to put feelings behind my words. No bad vibes here. Cheers!

Back to your question about shipping of an AP. Check out rallysportdirect.com, thats where I got mine. Took two days to get, free shipping from them on anything over $200.

Thanks, Yeah my car is automatic as well as the integra if that changes anything additionally his car like i said is not stock it probably has like around 170 horse power but only weighs 2300 pounds or so im told. My car on the other hand has 227 and weighs 3100 or something along those lines so i mean it is a bit lighter and he doesnt have enough power to spin the tires so the AWD doesn't really come into play. I think I might not have had it floored all the way ### I was kinda not paying attention when he did the three beeps and he got a bit of a head start. in any rate thanks for some of the helpful tips
Well you have 227 to the flywheel, roughly about 170 or so WHP. So if you are saying he has 170 is that crank or WHP? And let us know where you get your AP from also, just curious.

He has 170 at the crank if hes lucky i'd say more along 160-165, but I have a more important question right now my dad got a program for his truck and when he got it it was made by the head tech at ford and the guy needed to know every little detail about his car my dad brought up the question is the cobb program generic? or are the 2002-2005 wrx's exactly the same? as far as the innerds?
Cobb is a generic tune, and all wrxs and cars in general of tthe same year and models are different in their own subtle ways. Thats why people suggest protunes as they will be unique to your car. The Cobb AP is a good place to start, and you get the little added bonuses, 1/4 mile timer, etc. They make their tunes somewhat less agressive as to keep your engine safe. Have you looked into a Dom tune? Everyone that has had one raves about it. It requires you have a laptop and a tactrix cable. You have to log some info and he will tune via email.
Some tuners can adjust or perfect your Cobb tune through the AP, but you have to find a tuner in your area that will do so for you. Let me see if I can hunt down some links for ya.
Edit for second question: I just got one for a stage 1 flash. I was very happy with gains. I have not got it on a dyno yet, so I was just butt testing, but definitely woke the car up. I like the little added programs on there as well. I dont drive my car hard though. I am too old for racing and tickets and my insurance cost are extremely low and I would like to keep it that way. I feel like just the stage 1 flash lets the engine perform the way it was supposed to, and its not restricted anymore. Its a good start and I am happy. I would say from butt testing, Cobbs posted or claimed HP gains are legit for a stage 1.
