clutch break

can someone go over the break in process for a stock replacement clutch. i know i cant launch it or shift fast, but is it ok to get high up in the power band or should i stay under 3000 rpms

i was told from the stealership not to be rough on in for about 500 miles. keep it under 4 grand and you should be fine. but if you punch it and try to power through the gears. you will notice some slippage.

will the slippage be there forever or just in the beginning

just to be safe i would not go over 4k rpms and would not give it more then just over 1/4 throttle or so for about 800miles thats what i did and my clutch is great.

slipping clutch is bad. after the 500 miles and its properly "broke in" it won't slip. but if you run the clutch hard during this period. your going to be buying a new clutch.
