cel fix ej20 2002

well today i put a hks cattless dp, greddy evo2 with an high flon cat on my 2002 wrx
today. i love the added power and the lowend grunt. but i was driving and the check engine light came on, i know it's the downpipe, mt question is, do the bolt on check engine light fix really work, and does not having a tune with all stock accept the TBE going to negitvely effect my engine, other than run a little rich?

thanks.:

Yes, the CEL fixes do work. I've used them a couple of times. It's said to be ok to run the 02-03' wrx and a turbo-back exhaust without a tune, although a tune will give you the best gains.

i agree with midnight...a tune will give you that extra boost and probably get your car running smoother.

so stock its not even funny...just kinda sad :(

With your without the tune? With it being colder or when the summer time comes? Whats the condition of your car (your engine)? It really depends. Maybe20-30HP.

I like to lowball though so I figure a full TBE is good for 15.... Just me though. With a good stage II you can probably add 50-60 at the wheels.
