Cat Back for '05 WRX

I'm looking for a cat back for my '05 WRX. I was looking at the HKS HI Power system. Does anyone know anything about this? Also, any other recommendations would be appreciated (looking to spend up to $550).

I have the Esprlir exhaust on my car and love the look and sound, it's very loud but it does come with a silencer. I paied 540.00 shipped. Oh yeah I did the DP at the same time so that's why it's really loud but still music to my ears

Bosal twin tip is what ive got, its decently loud, sounds down right mean during hard acceleration....kind of like a deep throaty v8-ish tone. full stainless steal, and all that for 389.99 shipped. ive heard the Espilir too, it sound very nice as well. Pretty much any exhaust for the WRX is going to give you a great sound. These are all good brands: Borla, Bosal, Espilir, HKS, Greddy, Perrin, Stromung etc. As for the HKS, ive never heard one in person, but they are supposed to be really loud. BUt i would suspect a great exhaust.

I heard that the HKS hangs alot lower than the any other exhaust, so if you lower your car it might be an issue

Well, i havent tried out the HKS Ti catback before jus had the Hi-power silencer. It really fuel consuming, i rather stay on with my new replaced Trust power extreme Ti II, more silent performance wise better than before.

If you want a stealthy exhaust, get the Borla hush. I have it an absolutely love it!

rs*r exmag, the jet-black one. It doesn't get stealthier than that.

Anyone heard anything good about the BLITZ NUR SPEC Exhaust system? I was also wondering what the difference was between an Axle -back and the Cat-back. I want to run a helix up/dp (no cats) and just wanted to know which one I should get and if I will have any fitment problems. Thanks guys!

here is my borla "hush" TBE (no cats so if you left a cat it then it would be considerably quieter)

You will need a cat back to go with the UP/DP. An axel back exhaust is just the last piece of exhaust connecting around the rear end axel area, hence axel back. Where a cat back is a full lenth exhaust that connects to the DP or right after the cats which are near your engine.
