Hi guys, just got a 05 WRX last night. Tonight I put a Blitz BOV on. It fits really tight. LIke it rest on the intake manifold runner. Anyway, went to drive it and from 2000 rpm to when I change gears it makes this horrific squeal. It sounds like a firetruck siren. Any ideas. Thanks
I have no idea what would cause it to squeal from 2k up, but thats not normal. Its only supposed to blow off when you quickly let off the throttle and are under boost.
Figured it out guys. The bottom of the BOV flange was not tight against the intercooler, so that made the gasket squeal. Kind of like when you put a blade of grass between your thumbs and blow. Got a HKS problem solved.
