boost controller reliability
is the single solinoid boost controller more reliable than the dual solinoid ,why?

Both of them are reliable, although neither are recommended for a WRX without other supporting mods.

Depends on how much boost you're running. But an up-pipe without a cat is the first thing you need, if you want to increase boost.

Fuel system upgrades are pretty much a requirement.

Depends on how much you up it by. 1 or 2 psi shouldnt require any fuel upgrades.

Yes, it does. Any increase in boost leads to leaner conditions. The only safe way to do it is to increase fuel too.

IMO that's overkill, then again I am more famaliar with the DSM world. But seeing how Subarus run rich in the first place, only makes sense to me that 1 PSi wouldnt do much harm.

It was my understanding that the WRX came from the factory closer to being lean that rich. That's why a CAI is not a good idea without supporting mods because it leans out the already lean car. I could be wrong so someone with more knowledge on the subject could jump in... Cosmo.

The CAI thing is due to the angle at which they make the air flow across the MAF. MAF's are sensitive, and little things throw them off.
