Blouch or Forced performance?

As some of you know my turbo is going bad as I said in my last thread. I just bolted on an ebay TMIC and ordered my walbro 255. My tuner is going to modify my stock injectors. I know for a fact I am going to buy an EVO3 big 16g. My tuner recommends me to get the Forced performance however other people i have talked to recommend to go with the blouch. So once again i come to you all. I looked at them both and couldn't really see any difference. Am i missing something? What do you all recommend??

I have emailed blouch with questions just trying to understand turbos and what Im looking for. They seem really helpful. I have never looked into Forced Performance though. If the description and everything is the same not sure there would be much of a difference. Not sure about prices wise either. Guess that wasnt much help, but you could email/call blouch and ask them what the difference may be.

The Evo III is cheaper at forced performance($749) and it comes with a one bar wastegate. The blouch unit ($895) comes with a 9psi wastegate. Other than that they seem the same. There are more options available at blouch which might make it a better deal if you want some extra coatings etc. Other than that go with Forced and same your money.

a "bar" is the metric version of psi. 1 bar = 14.7 psi. But technically @ sea-level air pressure is 14.7 and less as altitude increases. thats why some people loose hp the further up they live. another tidbit is that boost is however many psi over atmospheric pressure. so if your boosting 17psi ## technically boosting 31.7psi lol

haha yeah my car was washed the next day. but anyway yeah i decided on the EVO3 16g for the quicker spool and what my tuner recommended. I do plan on going for bigger later i just really am in a bind with supporting mods. I wasnt expecting to do this whole swap for a while but didnt have much a choice. I have thought of an 18g but dont know becasue i don't want to have TOO much power yet with out tranny.

You can always get the 18g and get a conservative tune on it. That way when you want more power all you have to do is retune the car instead of buying a new turbo later on.

What kind of power are you looking for? I suggest VF39, fast spool and yes so does the EVO III

isnt an EVOIII 16g pretty much a 18g i thougth the evoIII 16g flows like 5cfm less than the 16g, and a VF39 is no where like a 16g, i would never take a vf39 over a evoIII 16g, IMO IHI turbos are older turbos there are much better turbos out on the market now, it seems like everyone wants a IHI cause they are direct bolt ons but there are alot of other direct bolt on turbos as well that are better
