blitz or spt

should i trade my spt exhaust for blitz nur spec

basco 05-31-2009 07:29 PM

it depends...what are you looking for in the exhaust...do you want it to be louder???

DreamEvil 05-31-2009 07:43 PM

If you are going for sound then that's probably your best bet if you want to go all out on loudness, as for power gains if you gained at all it wouldn't be noticeable.

newtothegame 05-31-2009 09:00 PM

If you want the look and the sound go for it, if you like the sublte look and sound stay with SPT. I love the "stock" look of my Cobb and will never have anything else.

WReXd 05-31-2009 09:01 PM

which blitz? there's the "racing" and the "touring" versions. obviously, the racing one is louder. my friend has the touring kind and it's not very loud.

update i traded the spt for blitz nur spec racing with quiet insert today its super loud without the insert

nagyhead 06-21-2009 09:46 AM

i wouldn't have traded, you might regret it later on down the road.

i agree my rsx had race header with buddy club spec 3 ( VERY loud for rsx) and after less than a month cops following you gets old

norcalwrx916 06-21-2009 07:02 PM

its pretty loud so i put the baffel back in and sounds like my spt and for cops they really dont bother us out here in NV, i was reading that in japan there was a test done with the insert at 96db and without 105db 105 is loud

norcalwrx916 06-23-2009 09:05 PM

well ok so i have the new exhaust and now im getting less mpg for some odd reason and fast and also buying my cobb ap this week will it help alittle with it

newtothegame 06-23-2009 09:25 PM

To run stage 2? It should, mine did, as long as you can stay off the as pedal.

norcalwrx916 06-23-2009 11:35 PM

im not running stage 2 yet i have cat back and intake and just switched catback and getting less mpg...soo the ap should help right

You sure? CBE shouldn't really change your mpg especially with a stock DP.

newtothegame 06-24-2009 09:45 AM

Oh, I thought you had a DP also. Your MPG should NOT be affected by a CBE, like VisiX said. But even at stage 1 with my AP I noticed the power difference and aout 1.5 more MPG when driving sanely

norcalwrx916 06-24-2009 04:31 PM

yeah just those 2 thing for now and my mpg has changed and not driving fast 65-70 could an exhaust leak cause this maybe and you will never guess how much im getting my ap for..150 brand new some dude that doesnt even have a subaru haha
