Like Dumdum said, anything high horsepower on a 2.0 is going to be very dull to drive around town. You wont have very much of a power range by the time something big like a 35R spools up.

Depending on what type of power and where you want your spool I would say either a 52mm (~400whp @18psi) or 56mm (~440whp @18psi) Twin Scroll will get you what you want and not be as laggy as a 30-35R sized turbos.

maybe off topic...but i recently put a TD05 20g on my 04 wrx 2 litre....i dont notice the lag to be honest...im sure there is a difference from stock...but the power is so much....when i got WOT in 1st i cant shift fast enuff to keep it from hitting fuel cut....i will be going to a HTA 30r .82 . axis block and ppgs as well....course my clutch doesnt hold the power if im in 3rd, 4th, or 5th right now...nothing i can do about it yet hehe

I agree completely.

If you want to upgrade the turbo I would go with the Evo III 16G or a 7cm TDO5H-18G as dumdum said. Or I hear Garret came out with an adapter kit for the GT28RS on our cars, if thats true I would get one of those. Very fast spooling turbo and good gains as well.
