The big question
 
Ok,boys and girls here it is... If I get a downpipe,uppie,cat back,Walbro fuel pump with my intake silencer delete and K&N drop in will it blow up on the 4hr drive in a 95,000+mi WRX to get a safe tune from P&L Motorsports?

What kind of numbers (ball-park)should I expect?

keep it out of boost, zero worries. Injectors are a no no though. Pay them to install those if you're doing it. Which you might want to, because that way you wouldn't have to panic changing turbos if you want to do that later (just have to stay out of boost on that 4 hr drive too).

Oh, and have them put on a grimmspeed 3port BCS too.

Numbers? From a TD04? What type of dyno does P&L have again?

They use a DynoJet. I will have stock turbo,no injectors,very well taken care of engine. I'm on a very low budget.

It looks like the grimmspeed 3port BCS is in my price range and easy to install. Should I do this before I make my trip?

Just so you know I'm going with Invidia divorced waste gate catless (maybe catted)downpipe with extra o2 bung, Invidia Uppipe and a Borla Hush Twin Tip Catback Exhaust. Also leaning towards a bigger top mount intercooler.

Ha,:p it will take a VERY long time to get up the money for this. Maybe over a year.

Yikes!:eek:I just priced this stuff out. Looks like I'll only be getting the downpipe,catback,fuel pump,boost controller and a tune!

Should I get the timing belt done 1st? I have 95,000mi on her now. By the time I get the parts together it might be closer to 100,000mi.

Should I put on the boost controller on before I make the trip? The install looks easy enough to do in the parking lot when I get there.

So, if I stay out of boost it'll make the 4hr drive without blowing up,right?

You should be able to rig it up in interrupt. Or throw it on when you get there... I wouldn't drive with it untuned for.

I hope by boost controller you mean the 3-port BCS. It's not a boost controller, it's a solenoid. Anyway, have them install it. You don't want to drive it at all with that on there and stock maps, the ECU will be completely confused.
