JIC Exhaust

I have been reading the posts on this thread and havent heard anything about JIC exhaust systems. The system that has caught my eye is the JIC full titanium cat-back. I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this exhaust, or if anyone has heard anything (good or bad) about this exhaust. I am also wondering if anyone thinks that the 30 some odd pounds that i would loose using this exhaust is worth the price difference.

That exhaust is good if you don't mind putting out the 1200.00 dollars for it. I think you can get a less expensive exhaust and use the left over money towards some thing else. I spent less than that on a TBE. Just my .02

The other exhaust that caught my attention was the autospeed TBE. Do you have any input on that system?

Thumbs up

Yeah, anything JIC is a safe bet, all their parts are awesome. Fit, finish, performance, everything is about as good as you can get. I had a friend with a 100% JIC STi. Im talking, everything JIC made for STi's, he had. It was awesome. But, hes 45, works at Microsoft and is currently in the process of ordering a Porsche GT2. So, for the rest of us whom are less fortunate as far as the wallet goes, the two times as expensive as everything else price just isnt worth it, in my opinion. Besides, if their TBE gives 25hp and TurboXS's TBE gives 25hp, why pay an extra grand just to say "Hey, i have a JIC titanium exhaust".

Isnt performance all that matters? Besides, JIC's dont look THAT good

Almost completed my research. Any advice is appreciated. Looking at a combo of Perrin and/or Helix.

Perrin UP & Down or Helix flex Up/Down

Borla Hush Catback (with dual-tip)

Does anyone have this configuration or see any issues?

I have a Helix flex uppipe and TXS downpipe, however I am going to switch to a Helix downpipe as well. The Helix uppipe is nice because it has a flex in it that allows it to seal better then a solid uppipe. However it has a slightly larger inside diameter then stock and is made to match larger turbos, so it won't spool as fast. I put it on and have had no issues with it, it sealed up great for me.

Don't get my wrong, I have the Perrin Uppipe, and I love it, but choosing it just because it comes with a CEL fix isn't that big of a deal. All it is, is a single carbon film resistor... I could get you 5 at radioshack for .99 cents. In fact, I probably have a bunch in my lab kit...

And it doesn't fix the CEL if you have no cats as I found out, so I installed the o2 simulator a weeks later after the CEL kicked in.
