i would just remove intake silencer and put k&n drop in, in your stock airbox. Most tuners dont recommend getting and intake unless you are pushing over 300hp, they say it may cause your car to run lean. i spent the money on an injen intake and it did nothing for performance. total cost about $40 for drop in filter

the only way you are gonna feel performance from the intake is if you free up the breathing from the turbo back. One of my buddies as an 02 wagon and he has an apex exhaust down pipe etc. and he put the aem cold air on and with him driving I even felt the diffrence. My opinon is "if you really care about your car, do it right" think about it, how much difference is a drop in filter gonna make? im not sure about the silencer mod, never tried it.

The difference you felt was from the exhaust mods not the intake mod.
People that have install just a CAI's all agree that the old "butt dyno" can not tell a difference. It just sounds different.

Use it or lose it!

actaully, the exhaust was already on and had been on for a while. So we could feel difference. Remember everyone's car is different- just because you cant feel it doesn't mean i cant or it doesn't exist.

why spend alot of money on the ferrari of ricers and then do something cheap like cut off ## sillencer, don't be cheap respect ## car and do the right thing, i have an aem cia vishnu down,. turboxs up, and 3" back, the cia was last and yes it does make a diffrence, probally not very much of a diff. till u open up the backside of the turbo tho and no i can't spell or type so don't complain this isn't a forum on how good our english is

when i say the aftermarket filter set up is not worth it , im referring to it as for the first mod because you will spend a lot of money and will get very little performance for example if you ask me whats the best mod to start up ill say complte exaust system worth 25 or more hp, the computer up grade 25 or more hp,mbc 20 or more hp,and so on versus 3to 10hp tops on the filter same goes w the bov no hp what so ever ,but if you have all the performance parts i mentioned before and complement them with the filter set up and bov the car will perform better than without them on my two cents
