How do you prevent lean conditions when you run out of water/meth without noticing?

Well the subaru make it a pita becuase of the iat location on them. Most other cars you inject before the iat and you can increase fuel and decrease timing based off that sensor. Can't do that on these.

Honesty, best way is to use a float sensor so it lights up a light on the controller to tell you are out. Another thing is with proper nozzle sizes you only going to need to pull 2-5% fuel. This is not enough to throw a car more than .2-.4 on your a/f ratio.

You can also hook the level sensor up to your waste gate and that will keep you from building boost. But nobody really has a good way to prevent a lean, just some work around. We are wokring on iat sensor reloaction kit for the these. it will enable you to montor how your intercooler is working too. You will see more info on rom raiders about this.

Have you guys worked much with the Hydra? I've heard that it has inputs for nos/meth levels and can adjust the map into a limp like mode if it detects even momentary loss in supply.

I just want to let everyone know i am here to answer all your water methanol injection questions. This really helps make more power on forced induction applications.

Benefits Of Water-Methanol Injection:

* Increase horsepower safely by 10-15%
* Lower air temperatures by 50-200+ degrees
* Increases octane when you need it under boost.
* Reduces cylinder temperatures up to 300+ degrees
* No wear issues only clean combustion chambers
* Allows you to safely run more boost and timing

Hi, I'm new to the site and have been planning a methanol injection kit out for my car. I have a stage 2 02 WRX with a turboXS rotated mount kit with a PTE SCM50 turbo running 21 psi and TurboXS FMIC. Turbo back exhaust, accessecu port with a pro tune, upgraded fuel pump and injectors and a few more upgrades with 300 AWHP. I just got done talking to a mechanic that worked on a corvette with a super charger and a meth kit running windshield wiper fluid and he said the fluid got all over the intake and gummed up everything. He also said it caked on the sensors and he was getting some funny readings from them which he blamed on the meth kit. He said in his opinion a meth kit doesn't belong on a daily driver which is what I still consider my car atm. Is this a problem for my WRX?

Thats a new one for me. methanol evaporates pretty quick. Reason it has to be stored sealed in a cool dry place. I can't think of anything it can attach to that can cause things to gum up. It breaks down most any fluid in the car. Reason its so commonly used as a cleaner. Only thing i can think off off the top of my head that can cause things to gum up that might go threw a meth kit if somone is using the wrong fluids. Glycol can do some funny things when it in your intake pipe. This is whats normal used in your radiator for cooling. and you can get glycal in the more expensive washer fluids.

Tons of people use methanol injection kits for daily drivers.

say i were to install the DVC-30 kit with a D03 spray nozzle in my 04 wrx and i didnt feel like having the injection kit spraying for what ever reason. in this case would i be able to turn the start spray seting up past my peak boost pressure and my car would simply continue to operate my current map? or would that destroy my engine since its gone in and had a protune done? is there a way to turn the entire system on and off and while off operate properly?

You would have to switch maps, or don't hit the threshold for the MEth to engage
