APS stock STi dyno results...

This is my first post here so be gentle with me!

On the following link,

http://www.aps-wrx.com/us_spec/subaru/sti/2004_sti.htm

They (APS) list the STi as having 311 HP on US grade 94 pump gas....

How realistic is that information? Anyone actually dyno their car with just stock setup and 91+ octane fuel(Live in San Diego so 91 is the best I can do till I move)?

TIA Gents

Subaru claims 300 flywheel HP for stock STi.

APS asserts that the stock STi they dynoed had 311 HP, which sounds reasonable to me.

Were you expecting something different from that?

When power is transfered to the wheels it looses some numbers does it not? So inturn it would produce a lower number at the wheel.so how does it produce 311?

That car probably does produce 311 HP at the flywheel. Obviously a four-wheel dyno doesn't measure that directly. It does measure WHP, probably around 220. My experience with Dyno Dynamics is that it reads about 15% percent low, and they probably use a figure of around 23% for Subaru AWD drivetrain loss.

FHP = 220 * 1.15 * 1.23

What's that come out to?

Any more questions?
